I grew up in a small inner city Assemblies of God church in New Jersey . After finishing an undergraduate degree in Bible from Zion Bible Institute (now College) I spent two years as an intern at an AG church outside of Hartford, CT. Hungering for deeper study, I went to Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary where I met and married my wife, Carissa. After finishing my graduate degrees, we packed up all our books and an old couch into some moving cubes and took a month long cross country car camping road trip to Oregon to be near her family. Here we bought a house and had our son, Kaypha. Currently we’re a part of the Groves Church in downtown Portland . I substitute at some local Christian high schools and occasional teach Biblical Hebrew for adults.
